"Fingers"

It was a dark and stormy night.  Outside the hospital in Beaverton Oregon, lightning flashed and a new baby was spawned onto the world.  Til and Dee Crook had begot Timbodiddlybobob.

I was raised in a side show while my father sold trinkets from a catalog while traveling from town to town in Oregon.  Music was not a part of my life then as we moved, until our arrival to Boise, Idaho in 1969.  After a short foray with the woodwind family in 6th grade school band, I acquired my first guitar.  It was a huge Epiphone Concert hollow body with “f” holes.  Love, baby, love !!

I moved to the “rock” side and received my first Silvertone electric guitar and amp for my 14th birthday.  About that time I met a table of guys in Speech class in 10th grade.  We all had music on the brain and my first band, Acquaintance was formed.  1974 brought my “early graduation present” a new, white on white, Fender Strat (MIJ).  By then I was playing through a big Peavey head and 4 x 12 cab., and it sounded great.  The Fender alliance was formed for life.

Yadda Yadda….

I moved to Lake Stevens, Washington in 86, following my lovely bride-to-be on her exit from Idaho.  My first place of employment allowed me to meet some interesting people, and I’m proud to say that most are still my friends now.  Suckband makes up a good portion of these fine folks.

Formed in my basement in the spare bedroom, my buddy Ronster and I started a little pickin and grinning evening for fun and frolic.  Funny thing with a “beer drinking hobby band”, once someone comes to watch and play, they want to keep coming over because it’s a blast.  So the Suckband took shape from close friends and continues to swell with every opportunity.

After shaking wine glasses off the upstairs rack, we moved to Jag Studios in Machias and well, the proof is in the pudding, so to speak.

As of my 45th birthday/mid life crisis, I now play a Fender Custom Shop Double Humbucker Strat with a Floyd Rose bridge.  “I’m not worthy”, but it sure is fun to play.
